Psalm 48:1 New International Version (NIV)
Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise,
in the city of our God, his holy mountain
GREATER ~ Are our thoughts.
Sometimes it is hard to see God at work when our lives face hard things. Sometimes it hard to see God when health issues happen, loss of jobs, housing is hard to fine, loss of loved ones and the list goes on. Each of us have hard thoughts at times too. Bringing our thoughts and prayers back to God.
1 John 4:4 New International Version (NIV)
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Part of life is about learning and growing. I was talking with my 5 year old granddaughter (Willow) about rules and laws. She had questions about driving and when she could drive. She wanted to know who would teach her to drive. The big wonder of driving is planted in her mind at a early age. Have you ever wondered when is your time to do something in life? Asking God what about me and why do things change suddenly for better or worse? Does God hear me and my time is passing so fast? I just want what others have or do I?
As humans, our brains go a million miles while sitting in a chair. We are taught to ask questions and get answers. We wait on God and need patience over somethings in life. Isn't it true that it's hard at times of life? Inside my mind, I know that I must not lean to my own understanding on somethings of life. I go to prayer for my family and my friends. I believe God is greater and I must hold onto for them. I've seen miracles and I just won't stop believing.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
I was talking with someone who said this, "you can have faith all you want, but it still isn't happening". this statement is true, but I must continue what I believe. I know that God answers and going to him makes a difference. I know that I must keep hope alive and I've seen God turn things around. Yes, sometimes it won't change and I may not know the answer why, but I'll keep believing. My thoughts are powerful and it becomes my action at times. There is power in words.
My prayers continue today for you, your family and friends. I'm holding on for you too for your prayers that need to be answered. Purpose this a good day!
