For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
APRIL 16, 1950 ~ My brother Ronnie was born. He was five years older than me. I was always the little sister that looked up to him. He was a kind kid and grew up to be a kind person as well. It was 1987 on his birthday that he found out he had cancer. Nobody really knew the length of time he had, but the doctor said about 6 months to live. Live changed that day for our family. We saw him decline as time went forward. He was 37 years old and I was 32. I felt I had to pray and trust the Lord in this. He was a believer in God, but somehow he knew he wasn't going to get over this. He always said to live as if today was your last, but plan for tomorrow. Live one day at time and share it with those you love.

Psalm 139:13-14 New International Version (NIV)
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Ronnie was born on purpose and the length of time on earth was God's plan. I believe in the fact that we are born and die when the Lord says. His plan continues to unfold for each of us. Yet, I do know that prayer changes things and we can count on God. I prayed that my brother would be okay and he was okay. He died on Christmas Day that same year. It changed the way we viewed Christmas and there was always some sadness that filled the day. The joys of Jesus but real life would hit us. Ronnie told us he was ready to meet the Lord. He was a believer and he surrendered his will to God's plan. I didn't do that my friends. I wanted a miracle of life and many said he got that miracle of life. He lives in Heaven and freedom from cancer. Yet, my view point was quite different at 32 years old. I totally get that at 65 years old. I miss him greatly and he was my only sibling. The Bible tells us there is a time for all things and we must trust that.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 King James Version (KJV)
3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
EMBRACE LIFE ~
No matter what happens, God still answers prayer. Ask him for a view point for yourself to have peace. There can be peace no matter what happens and I know this. I've changed over time as I let go of my will to God's will. Praying God's will is keeping your mind open to change and knowing HE is able to keep you in peace. Nope, we will not always like it, but we learn that peace comes when we choose peace of mind. I know life can be hard and I care. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. As we don't know what a new day holds, we can hold strong to God's plan and live in knowing prayer changes things which changes you. Happy Birthday Ronnie in Heaven. I miss you!
