Psalm 74:17 New International Version (NIV)17
It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth;
you made both summer and winter.
SUNSHINE ~
The warm of the day brings out smiles. Although the weather can get so hot, many people suffer from it. Each day brings out different weather, different attitudes, hopes, sorrows, tears and joys. So many mixed emotions and bringing all back to who created this new day. A God that loves us and gently reminds us through the word (Bible) of God, that he wants us to set up boundaries.
Boundaries for our personal lives. I was talking with someone yesterday and they needed a day in the sun. That refreshing time of sun, water and friends. The inside of their world is hard and not everyone knows their story. Yet, trying to get away from it all and taking a day to breathe. Life can become overwhelming and things change suddenly. Our normal is not normal anymore and our tears are seen and unseen at times.
The scripture above speaks of God sitting boundaries from summer and winter. Times will surely change and it's hard to switch seasons of life. I personally love the summer feel of life. I can wear shorts and enjoy the outside. Yet, I know that winter will come and things will change. All seasons are needed in our lives. Enjoying the season you are in is important. Summer fun of just going outside without a coat or enjoying a walk with a friend. Time to play with kids and grandkids in live. Time to share with family for small vacations, barbecues or just handing out. Life is short and we must see the value in our lives today.
Our example goes further than we know. My granddaughter Brookley (7 years old) said to me, "Grammie go down this waterslide with me". I had a fear of weather. My dad threw me into a creek when I was about 10 years old and I started going under. Then in 2004, I got caught in the waters of Cabo and almost drowned. But as I heard her little voice, she continue to talk about me teaching and not to be afraid. So I did it, I grabbed the water tube and off we went. I screamed half way down and at the bottom, I said, "I DID IT". I saw the look at her face and I will always remember that day.
FEAR ~ is real and sometimes we must face it.
The words, "I DID IT" are so priceless. This wasn't a big waterslide, but even the though of landing in water was fearful. I accomplished a big task in my mind, a small slide but a big accomplishment for me.
What are you facing today that you just need to do? Maybe just taking care of you and finding some rest in your life. So many things keep us busy and we miss out on the sun feeling of life. The warmth of the Holy Spirit and knowing that we are not alone in life. God is right here and wants to mend your heart, feel the warm of him and start this day off with positive thoughts. One positive thoughts can lead to another one. If negative thoughts come your way, turn them around. Cast them far away and don't real them back!
Philippians 4:13 King James Version (KJV)13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
