A BIG REFIEF ~

I did not write this poem named Footprints in the Sand.  It is a beautiful reminder of how God walks with us and carries us at times of life.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND:
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You'd walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

A BIG RELIEF ~
God never leaves us

Each step of life is designed to help us become a better person.  God's word (Bible) says he designed up on purpose and has a plan for us.  If we could only see that God is with us no matter what happens.  He is our source of strength and give us courage to walk in all seasons of life.  We are in a new year, a new month and a new day.  Let us face this day with a grateful heart that God has already done great things.  He also is doing great things in this day.  It has yet to unfold because it's early as I write this. However, I purpose knowing this day will be a good day.  I ask him to guide my steps, my words and my actions.  I hope you do as well.

Hebrews 10:24-25 New International Version (NIV)24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
