As a kid, I remember my mom said nothing good is going to happen today. I would ask her why, but I only got an answer of because I just know. I grew up knowing nothing good was going to happen. Just a little kid and I look back to see how sad I felt. I tell my grandkids that it's a beautiful day because God is in control. He wants us happy and to share smiles.
A BEAUTIFUL DAY ~ Psalm 118:24 New King James Version (NKJV)
This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
You were born on purpose and your example means so much in life. Nobody can be you but you. God has given you a gift of life. A new day means God created it and being glad in it is your choice. Purpose good days and smiles in life. Maybe someone is having a hard day and just one smile makes a difference. That smile can come from you and think about that for a minute.
I often help at my granddaughters school. I see how teachers could use help and kids too. I've known as Sparkie around the school. Adults tell me thank you for helping because they have to go to work. Kids tell me thank you because their grandma can't help or maybe because she isn't alive. I heard stories and I listen. I give encouragement and kindness to all. I help in a Kindergarten class and I love the way Ms Ortiz reads a book. I feel just like one of the kids and wait to hear the next part. It's a beautiful day when a project happens, a story is read or just snack time. See what I mean? Life gives us moments that we can remember forever and give thanks to others as well.
In this new day, recall some memories of what God has already done in life. It is good to remember miracles and prayers answered. It is good to give thanks and then take time to pray. Prayer is communication with God and he hears our words. He hears our hearts too because he knows us from the inside out. I give thanks for a new day of life and never take anything for granted.
My prayers are with you, your family and friends.
