Most of us remember where we were on 9/11/01. Lives were changed forever and people seem to pick up the kindness act across states. We were feeling the loss of lives, the scared feeling of what was next and the lives would forever be changed. Today, 14 years later I remember I was getting ready for work and felt so scared inside. As I watched TV, it was like our world was coming to a complete end. Like watching a movie unfold before you life, but it was not a movie at all, it was real. I began to pray for families, friends and people everywhere for protection.
As life moves forward, we give honor today and everyday for men, women and children who lost their lives on 9/11. A day to remember and totally filled with sadness and happiness. Giving thanks for what we do have today, but never forgetting all the people who face so much change on a daily bases. We do remember loved ones, friends and every strangers who sacrifice their lives for others too.
Let us stop right now and give thanks for heroes who continue to run into the battle and not away. They are firefighters, police officers, medical crew and people without a title who helped someone else!
Psalm 34:18 (NIV)
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
God, today I just just thanks for this day. Asking that hearts will feel your peace in the midst of remember 9/11 in our country. You know exactly where lives are and what they need. Asking largely for your amazing grace and mercy to help lives. Thank you for sharing a rainbow over the city yesterday. A sign that you are still in control and promises with it. I may never understanding the why of it, but I hold onto you for strength, courage to face a new day and a thankful heart that you help us move forward. Through it all, I've learn to trust in you (God) and ask that the readers of this blog do too. Praying for them, there family/friends too. We just never know what one person faces in one day, but we know what so many face on 9/11 remembrance day. Help by your holy spirit in lives today! AMEN
I care, I will continue to pray and I thank you for taking time to give thanks and remember things today. We must stay focus on what is real and share kindness daily from our lives. Treat others the way you would like to be treated!
